Nathan Kalasho and Angela Yue didn't set out to build the largest humidor on the West Coast. They set out to build a room worth sitting in — the humidor followed. Word got around Escondido fast.
The Arturo Fuente family has stood behind this counter more than once — Lord Puffer has hosted Fuente Fever, one of the largest Fuente events on the West Coast, with proceeds going to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. What started as one humidor has outgrown three separate lounges. The specials board still gets written by hand — and the counter still remembers how you take your pour.
Cigar time isn't one-size-fits-all, so we never built it that way. Three lounges for the regular rotation, a patio for the nights that call for BBQ smoke instead of cigar smoke, a private room for the ones who'd rather not share the humidor with strangers, and a locker for the ones who stopped taking their cigars home altogether.
Leather chesterfields, exposed brick, and a television nobody's actually watching. Three rooms, same house rule: sit as long as you like.
